This policy explains what information Sitzy (“Sitzy,” “we,” “us”) collects when you use our app and website, how we use it, and the choices you have. If you have questions, email hello@sitzy.co.
Information we collect
- Account information: your name, email address, and sign-in details when you create an account, including through Sign in with Apple or Google.
- Profile information: photos, interests, a short bio, and anything else you choose to add to your profile.
- Table activity: tables you host, request, or join, messages in table chats, and post-meal feedback such as “sit again” responses and reviews.
- Location: your city, or your approximate location if you allow it, so we can show tables near you.
- Device and usage data: app version, device type, crash reports, and how you use features, so we can keep Sitzy working well.
How we use information
- To run Sitzy: show tables, process seat requests, enable chats, and send reminders.
- To keep the community safe, including reviewing reports and preventing abuse.
- To improve and fix the app.
- To contact you about your account, your tables, and important updates.
What other people can see
Your profile, the tables you host or join, and messages you send in table chats are visible to the other people at those tables. Please share only what you’re comfortable sharing.
Sharing
We don’t sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run Sitzy (such as hosting, analytics, and email), when required by law, or to protect the safety of our users and others.
Your choices
- You can edit your profile or delete your account at any time in the app, or by emailing us.
- You can turn off location access and notifications in your device settings.
- Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your information. Email us and we’ll help.
Data retention and security
We keep information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide Sitzy, and we delete or anonymize it when it’s no longer needed. We use reasonable safeguards to protect it, but no system is perfectly secure.
Children
Sitzy is for people 18 and older. We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes
If we update this policy, we’ll change the date above and, for significant changes, let you know in the app.
